Details:

Ivybridge Community College required a new classroom block due to the college reaching capacity. The new block consisted of 8 bays.

This project had delay issues due to high winds postposing the initial installation date. Despite this, MBSS Ltd managed to complete this project in under 12 weeks.

Details:

An additional ward was required for the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton. The project needed to be completed quickly due to the pressure for more beds being required for the winter months. The completed installation comprised three storeys, which included areas for operation theatres and clinical and administrative facilities. To give the building a more traditional look the exterior had brick effect cladding installed.

MBSS Ltd were able to deliver a quick, non-disruptive turnaround and on this project, with patients being able to use the ground floor ward six weeks after the commence date.

Details:
When a fire destroyed Limehurst Youth Centre in Oldham, our client Springfield Mobile Ltd was selected to provide a new facility on land adjacent to the old site.

It was vital the new facility was up and running as quickly as possible, to ensure the local children had use of the new facility during the school summer holidays. Close co-operation between MBSS Ltd, Springfield Mobile and their client Oldham Borough Council ensured the five week construction deadline was meet.

Details:

Watford General Hospital required a bespoke 250sqm² link to act as a hospital street, connecting patients and staff from the existing hospital to a new 20 bed ward.

The link building included a reception area, walkway and cleaning store.

The project had very tight timescales and was completed in eight weeks.

Details:

Following a fire which devastated school buildings at Selsey Academy, temporary buildings were required to ensure pupils could be back to education as-soon-as possible.

The temporary buildings were established in just seven and a half weeks.  The 117 units were able to provide a temporary education establishment comprising a school hall, dining hall, library, IT suites, standard classrooms, science labs, washroom facilities and canteen.

Tom Garfield, head teacher of the academy, said: “We were absolutely delighted to see the first temporary school buildings arrive on site. We were in a position where just 44 days after the disaster where we were able to resume educating the community’s children once again.”

Details:
Our client was contracted by Bristol City Council to provide a larger and much improved facility, at the ever popular Locklease adventure playground.  Several site meetings took place involving all contractors, to ensure the end product would reflect the Council’s brief.  From start to finish, the project took five weeks to complete.  The outcome was a stunning facility that everyone can be proud of.

Details:
Stoke Bishop C of E School was in need of additional classroom accommodation to cope with an influx of pupils.

The local authority contracted our client under the terms of a framework agreement, to provide a quality solution that matched the existing buildings.

In order to provide level entry access, an earth/rock embankment needed to be removed and levels reduced.  Works commenced during the first week of the school’s summer six week holiday break.  The pupils returned to find a fine looking building ready for occupation.

Ynysboeth Primary School

Details:
The pupils and staff at Ynysboeth Primary School needed to decant into temporary facilities for two years, whilst their school underwent a complete refurbishment. One of our regular clients was selected to provided a two storey solution. The extremely short contract period of nine weeks, put everyone concerned with the project under considerable pressure.

The selected site was adjacent to the existing school on the foot print of an old school, burnt down some years earlier.  This meant most of the services required were available for use.  Working closely with our client, the deadline was met.  We are pleased to say all concerned were very happy with the end result.
